Construction Superintendent - Commercial GC - Base Salary to 140k/year - Coppell, TX

Our client is seeking a Construction Superintendent that is willing to travel, based out of Texas. The Construction Superintendent should have 8+ years of experience on commercial and/or industrial construction handling projects cost from $10m to $40m + experience is required and a positive, innovative, teamwork attitude is a must. The Construction Superintendent will support the building side of the business, where our client handles a wide range of projects, including warehouses, factories, manufacturing facilities, logistics/trucking centers, office spaces, auto dealerships, aviation hangars, higher education institutions, parking structures, self-storage facilities, and more.
Responsibilities:
Reads and interprets up to date plans and specifications
Consults with engineers, architects, and owners on design issues and change orders
Estimates materials and labor needed for construction in coordination with others
Evaluates alternate methods of construction for cost efficiency and quality
Establishes standard operating procedures based upon evaluation of methods of construction
Coordinates, directs, and schedules the work by subcontractors
Instructs and trains employees, subcontractors, and others in approved methods of construction
Responsible for establishing and enforcing safety measures
Establishes quality control standards and supervises their implementation
Orders, inspects, and verifies quantity and quality of materials and supplies
Acts as a liaison between company and others project stakeholders
Solves problems and (when necessary) works directly with employees to complete required tasks
Notifies subcontractor and suppliers far enough in advance to assure materials are delivered and subcontractors arrive on schedule
Is responsible for weekly production reports, timecards, and other records
Develops and establishes checklists for inspections
Maintains a good cooperative relationship with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and the public
Determines alternate work assignments during inclement weather in order to minimize lost production time
Is responsible for maintenance and care of tools, equipment, and vehicles
Coordinates work with clients and keeps clients informed as to progress
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience working for a commercial GC
Must have experience working on commercial project values of $5m - $30m+
High School Diploma or higher (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
Ability to read and understand construction documents including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings
Clear understanding of the documentation and processes between the owner, architect, and contractor
Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, and other construction-related software
Compensation:
Base salary in the 120k – 140k/year range
