Position Summary and Scope:
Assists all field operations in obtaining, evaluating and coordinating information needed to construct the project in accordance with contract documents and to assure work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality possible. Supports project from initial field work to finished CAD drawing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the project survey plan specific to field operations.
- Set control network
- Ensure construction projects comply with legal regulations and building codes.
- Conduct as-built and topographic surveys as needed.
- Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.
- Support site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with EBCO safety standards and applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret geotechnical reports.
- Uses plans to calculate horizontal and vertical controls for each phase of construction.
- Review work as it is being placed to be sure it is accurate and within accepted tolerances.
- Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.
- Calculate volumes to determine accurate dirt-work requirements.
