An established design-build construction firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from concept through completion. The Role
The Project Manager will lead commercial construction projects through all phases, balancing office coordination with on-site oversight to ensure successful delivery. Success in this role means maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating internal teams and subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
The role works closely with senior project leadership, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving efficiently and resolve issues proactively.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and resolving day-to-day project matters.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, tracking milestones and coordinating subcontractor timelines.
- Monitor project budgets, manage billing through the Schedule of Values, and review financial documents such as change orders and invoices.
- Oversee site activities, ensuring work progresses according to plans, schedules, and safety standards.
- Lead coordination meetings and communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure construction quality meets project specifications, codes, and required standards.
- Manage subcontractor agreements, track contract performance, and support resolution of project issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including site records, schedules, and project reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial construction project management experience.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, technology, and project delivery processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain accountability across project teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, or Timberline.
