Overview

An established design-build construction firm is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead onsite field operations across commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day jobsite activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

The Project Superintendent will oversee all field operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring efficient site coordination and smooth execution of project plans. Success in this role means maintaining a safe and organized jobsite, coordinating subcontractors effectively, and ensuring project milestones are met without compromising quality or budget.

The role works closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain strong communication and ensure that project goals are achieved from preconstruction through project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead jobsite coordination including layout, logistics planning, and daily field operations.
  • Supervise subcontractors, field personnel, and suppliers to ensure work progresses safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain and communicate short-term look-ahead schedules while identifying and mitigating potential delays.
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and material usage to ensure alignment with project budgets.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and punch list walkthroughs to ensure work meets project specifications and standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols through daily inspections, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
  • Represent the company professionally during client meetings, walkthroughs, and project updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
  • Experience serving as Lead Superintendent on projects valued at $3M+.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and project workflows.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Procore construction management software.
