The purpose of this job description is to provide a high-level overview of the role, scope and responsibilities. The Material Handler in the Vest department facilitate the proper staging and movement of production materials to and from the production cells under the supervision and direction of the production lead and/or manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Facilitate the proper staging and movement of production materials to and from the production cells
• Facilitate proper staging and movement of supplies and consumables to and from the production cells
• Maintain 5S principles in all staging areas, no orphaned carts/materials/baskets out of place
• Verify part numbers / materials on cart correctly match the BOM part numbers of the item being manufactured.
• Document all nonconformances immediately – review with supervisor
• Support production team members as needed for material handling
• Work with Inventory to stage the daily production plan
• Manage carts and basket staging and storage

• Organize workflow and ensuring that the material is delivered on time and his duties or delegated tasks are accomplished as required.
• Follow the employee manual requirements.
• Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures.
• To be trained in any other task as required in the vest department.
Other duties
• All employees must be familiar with AS9100 standard.
• All employees must be familiar with the ISO14001 standard.
• All employees must be familiar with the standards, policies and procedures pertaining to their position.
